Participate in Explorers

Explorers is a spiritual and leisure enrichment group open to teens (13+) and adults who have special needs. Interested participants should request an application from the Explorers Coordinator. Once you have received your application please fill it out and submit it with the application fee. The Explorers Coordinator will notify you if you have been accepted to the program. At this time we are limiting enrollment to ensure the quality of the program.

Once a participant has been accepted to the program, he or she will receive a monthly event invitation via email that gives information on the theme of the upcoming Explorers evening, the leisure area that the group will be exploring as well as the meeting location for the evening. This invitation will also ask for attendance confirmation as well as emergency contact information for that particular evening.

The program is from 6-8:45 pm on the Highland Park United Methodist Church campus. The registration fee for 2016 is $100. Scholarships are available.

A typical Explorers session:

  • Snack & social time
  • Devotion & prayer time
