Food is something we eat every day. Food is special—we enjoy it with loved ones to celebrate special occasions and spend time together. Food is also sacred. God provided manna for the Israelites in the desert. Jesus fed the hungry, multiplied loaves and fishes, and broke bread the night before he died.

This new series will be introduced by Erin Williams, director of HPUMC Adult Ministry, and Fred Bahnson, director of the Food, Faith, and Religious Leadership Initiative at Wake Forest University School of Divinity. What does it mean to enjoy food together? What purpose does God have in our eating? What calling do we have to care for God’s creation and feed the hungry?

This class will be a 3-course seated dinner. Enjoy world-class cuisine, learn more about the Theology of Food series, and be inspired. “Taste and see that the Lord is good!” (Psalm 34:8)
