October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month: HPUMC’s Restoration Ministries Offers Programs for Counseling and Recovery
Speaker: Rev. Camille May, Associate Minister, Care Network
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness month, United Methodist Women and Highland Park United Methodist Church are collaborating to raise awareness about HPUMC’s Restoration Ministries. Restoration Ministries is a program offered by HPUMC Congregational Care to promote recovery, prevent abuse, and intervene in areas of domestic abuse and sexual assault. The ministry offers resources and counseling for women who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse. Reverend Camille May will tackle the difficult subject of why our community needs a program such as Restoration Ministries, discuss how the program is guiding women to wholeness and healing, and open our eyes to how much these women need our support.

Redirect Your Lunch Money!
We have all missed the lunches and fellowship that we so enjoy at our monthly UMW programs, but at least we can look forward to gathering virtually for our October, November, and December programs. If you are moved to redirect the “lunch money” you did not spend at the six UMW programs that have had to be either canceled, postponed or reformatted, please consider donating that unspent money to HPUMC UMW.
