Simple But Not Easy: Conversations You Would Like to Have with Your Teen
Every Tuesday, from 10/27/2020 to 11/17/2020, 11:45 AM - 1:15 PM
Date: Oct 27, 2020
The most important tool we have to help our teens into adulthood is conversations; conversations that help them make sense of the world around them, teach them to clarify their values, empower them to advocate for themselves, and position you as their guide and encourager.
But what can a parent do to remain connected in a helpful way? This class series will explore conversation dynamics, topics, and tips. Learn to understand the developmental changes in teens that influence communication, how to express both anger and apologies, ways to talk thoughtfully about technology and self-management, and how to navigate difficult topics. Learn new ways to do something which is simple but NOT easy: sustain conversations with your teen.
