Life After Death in the Bible and Christian Tradition
Every Thursday, from 05/28/2020 to 07/02/2020, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Date: Jun 4, 2020
The belief in the resurrection lies at the heart of our faith. As Paul says, “If Christ be not raised, then our faith is in vain.” Part of this belief is that not only was Christ raised but that we shall also rise with him.
This six-week online class will explore how life after death has been understood and expressed in the Bible and in the Christian tradition. We’ll begin with the Old Testament then cover the period between the testaments (the Apocrypha), the New Testament, the early church, the Reformation, and the modern world.
Our live streaming class sessions will include a PowerPoint presentation followed by time for questions and discussion. Participants will also be able to download the PowerPoint presentations for further study.
