Audette Rackley, Head of Special Programs, Center for BrainHealth Team; coauthor, I Can Still Laugh

Audette Rackley will share her experiences in working with individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and the importance of maintaining the vitality of their souls. Hear stories of inspiration and hope stemming from individuals living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Learn about the upcoming HPUMC Alzheimer’s Inclusive Ministry that will bring help and hope to our community. Please bring friends and family who have loved ones impacted by dementia.

A member of the Center for BrainHealth team since its inception in 1999, Audette is Head of Special Programs. Her current research focus is developing and conducting brain training programs for individuals with memory complaints and Mild Cognitive Impairment. She also conducts research-based interventions for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Audette co-authored I Can Still Laugh, a book outlining a BrainHealth-developed strength-based approach to working with patients with dementia. Audette teaches a graduate-level class on dementia, directs a dementia practicum, and has spoken at State and National Conferences on the importance of discourse processing in the early detection of progressive brain disease.
