Topic - Heads, Heart & Hormones: How's a Parent to Help?
Please mark your calendars and join us for our first Parent Quarterly of 2019. We will Welcome Kathleen Fischer to the Great Hall where she will speak on the topic - Heads, Hearts, and Hormones: How’s a Parent to Help?
In this Parent Quarterly, we’ll consider how sexual issues evolve and therefore how parent/child conversations change across the years. Our emphasis will be on teens and tweens, but this information is useful to parents of all ages.
The session will serve as a basis for understanding where kids are developmentally and where we hope they’ll end up with regard to sex and intimate relationships. We’ll discuss how to frame your overall approach to guiding your kids about sex and offer some tips on how to enter
those challenging conversations.
Because sexuality is such an enormous topic, we know that a single session isn't enough time to cover it all. We are pleased to announce that Kathleen Fischer will return to offer a more in-depth series of classes entitled - Making Sense of SEX: Guiding Your Teens. Those four sessions will offer additional information, scripture consideration and “homework” to begin conversations at home with your kids.
Classes will be Tuesdays, January 22 & 29 and February 5 &12. For more information and to register, please click here.
