HELPS International is a non-denominational Christian organization committed to assisting the indigenous people of Guatemala through programs in education and literacy, medicine and health care, and projects of practical social concern. HELPS & HPUMC have been in partnership since 2009.

The Medical Team currently needs a primary care physician or FNP. Nurses and those fluent in Spanish would also be welcome.
Cost: $2,350, includes airfare
Type of work: participants will be seeing patients either in a clinic setting or in outreach
Lodging: Dormitory-style on the hospital campus
Risks: none outside of inherent risk of mission work/international travel
Passport required: yes
Visa required: no
Vaccinations/Medications: Tetanus booster, Hep A & Hep B
*all travelers are required to be up-to-date on routine vaccinations
