Larry James, CEO of CitySquare, explains HPUMC's new campus, Church at the Square.
Services are held at the Opportunity Center at 11am with lunch served at noon.
Church at the Square is an outdoor, casual, and spirit-filled service aimed at serving our neighbors living in and around the Cottages at Hickory Crossing and open to all. This worship service is an important part of our partnership with CitySquare as we work to alleviate spiritual and asset poverty in Dallas.
Rev. Jonathan Grace serves as the campus pastor with support from the HPUMC’s worship, music, communications, and tech departments.
We hope by joining forces with CitySquare, we can work in Dallas to bring not only help for those who need to provide for their family’s physical needs but also hope through faith in Jesus Christ. We think the church can be an agent for change in a broken world. We also want people who may not feel comfortable in a traditional church environment to be able to experience worship in a place they feel at home.
Families, Sunday Morning Classes, and Small Groups are needed to provide lunch for our neighbors attending the new HPUMC worship service, Church at the Square, located at the CitySquare Opportunity Center (1610 S Malcolm X BLVD, Dallas, TX 75226). Most attendees are homeless and we’d like to offer lunch after each service.
