We are committed to the physical, spiritual, and emotional health of those we serve.

belong disABILITY Ministry welcomes people of all abilities, ages, and faith to be part of an adaptive, inclusive community at HPUMC. Since 2000, Highland Park United Methodist Church has provided resources, experiences, and welcoming spaces for individuals with disabilities of all ages, as well as for their families and friends.

Worship Opportunities and Programs

Night OWLS: A respite program for families who have children with disabilities

Providing respite for families throughout our community who have children with disabilities and their siblings. Children are paired with a trained volunteer for the evening, while they enjoy preplanned activities and events. Nurses are also on site to assist with any medical needs.

Explorers: A spiritual and leisure enrichment group for teens (13+) and adults with disabilities

A social and spiritual enrichment program for teens (13+) and adults with disabilities. Each month members will learn a new interest from an activity expert, these activities include art, fitness, and special projects.
