Construction progress continues at Wesley House

The number one reason students leave SMU is due to homesickness. Wesley House, HPUMC’s college ministry, is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space for students to feel at home and find community. They’re currently undergoing renovations to make their building perfect for just that. We can’t wait to see the completed project!

Did you know that the primary reason students leave SMU is because of homesickness? Located just behind campus on Daniel Street, Wesley House, HPUMC’s college ministry, is dedicated to creating a place for students to find community, connect with others, and call home.

The current building in which the students of Wesley House have been meeting is undergoing some very exciting renovations to make it the perfect home away from home! These updates will help create an environment for all the different ways this ministry reaches out to and helps connect students.

The house is used multiple times a week for scheduled weekly events such as Bible studies, small groups, and lunches; it hosts dozens of fun special events per semester (think Super Bowl Parties, Top Chef competitions, video game tournaments, and more!); and it’s also a place where students can show up to simply hang out, study, and build community.

We can’t wait to see the completed project!
